RUGUVA began with a simple architectural refusal: to accept mass-manufactured floor coverings held together by synthetic latex glue and petroleum derivatives. We sought carpets that possessed the weight of stone, the luster of silk, and the resilience of natural fleece grazing under open skies.
Today, every RUGUVA carpet is hand-tied knot-by-knot by master weavers using techniques honed over centuries. Our traditional vertical timber looms accommodate bespoke dimensions up to 8 meters across without seams or synthetic joints.
